Connecting the Core Dots

As we walk through our core values on Wednesday evenings, I am beginning to realize how necessarily interrelated these priorities are. Consider the value we studied this week: “We prayerfully seek to provide a safe environment in which the vulnerable can grow in the faith and in which the hurting and abused can experience God’s love and healing.”

Revisiting the Core Values

As we approach our Wednesday Evening Core Value Fellowships, I thought I would provide a refresher as to what the Core Values are and why we have them in the first place. Core Value: Safe

We prayerfully seek to provide a safe environment in which the vulnerable can grow in the faith and in which the hurting and abused can experience God’s love and healing.

Core Value: Proclaim

We prayerfully seek to proclaim the gospel of the kingdom with creativity, urgency, personal appeal, love, and reliance on God to draw sinners to himself.

This is one of our core values that correspond with the “reaching out” part of our mission statement, along with portraying the gospel of the kingdom and spreading this work locally and internationally. While these other [...] Continue reading

Core Value: Shaped

Two weeks ago I used this space to share some core values that we hope will more clearly define how our beliefs influence our direction as a church. I have received some feedback on these and continue to invite your input regarding how accurately these describe our identity and direction. As the core values are being shaped, I want to utilize the article each week to expound upon the six statements and why th [...] Continue reading
